Management of fishing port is the
administrative port which includes an assessment of the fishing port
facilities, so that it can expect to be maximum in function. The purpose of
this study field were to: conduct observations, interviews and documentation; active
participation of Tamperan coastal fishing port activities. Methodology used was
descriptive through observation, interviews, active participation and
documentation.
The development of Tamperan coastal fishing
port reached 70% in 2009, with the result that operational of this port have
not optimum yet. Tamperan coastal fishing port have several facilities, such
as: principal, functional and supporting. Human resources of Tamperan coastal
fishing port is insufficient. Fisheries community is still underestimate to the
licencing issues and it caused many of fishing boat have not licence to operate
yet. The development of Tamperan coastal fishing port gives a positive economic
impact. It can be seen through many of job opportunities offered in that fishing
port area. Urbanization problem also reduced by the present of fishing port.
Finally, the catching activities is prime mover of Indonesian economy.
